Organising operating systems in a performance and health promoting way
For specialists and Continuous Improvement Processes-Experts in planning, process engineering and job security, production and assembly
Work structuring must implement 1. economisation objectives and 2. objectives of a humane and age-based prevention as well as the protection of manpower.
In the systematic search of rules and principles for the organisation of working systems it is essential to develop alternatives with the help of which efficiency can be achieved as well as the requirements of people can be met who contribute a lot to the process each day.
Working systems must be organised for the easy performance of various changing postures and body movements as well as of various changing mental and cognitive requirements for the accomplishment of tasks.
The solution to avoid repetitive strain is a systematically alternating physical strain and not an overall decrease of strain. It is important to establish a balanced strain mixture so that the prerequisites for physical as well as for mental performance are maintained and improved by the work.
This means that the work should offer the opportunity of variously changing postures and body movements (e.g. regular change of activities which require walking, standing and sitting) and variously changing mental and cognitive requirements (e.g. alternately creative, problem solving tasks and routine work)
