Köngen – Germany’s corporate leaders have made a clear decision: Anyone planning larger change, transformation or digitization projects cannot ignore the Lean Management experts from Staufen AG. Because only those who have their processes under control – from purchasing to production to administration and sales – can master the necessary change. These are the results of the renowned industry study “Hidden Champions 2020/21″prepared by the Wissenschaftliche Gesellschaft für Management und Beratung, spearheaded by Prof. Dietmar Fink, in which more than 700 executives of Germany’s leading major corporations and medium-sized businesses were surveyed.

Especially in times of constant change, supporting executives in a targeted manner is crucial for success. Consequently, 37 percent of German companies have already firmly established coaching and supervision as part of their leadership development. 41 percent of companies plan to implement such instruments in the future or are currently being developed. Anyone who thought a fundamentally pragmatic approach to consulting and an festive mood would contradict each other, would have had to look twice at the “Wagenhalle” in Stuttgart in mid-July. Around 500 employees, alumni and close companions celebrated the 25th anniversary of Staufen AG in the historic locomotive depot.

Even before agile work organizations had the chance to comprehensively demonstrate their performance, the first companies began turning their backs with disappointment. The reason: They have not managed to change the mindset of their employees and executives beyond the initial introduction of agile methods.
